>>>In my experience the people here who moan about ' scrounging immigrants'
Most UK people who go to live abroad take some sort of pension with them and do not become "scrounging immigrants" but actually spend their pension in that country, benefiting the local economy.

And did these women have no desire for sex themselves then? It's a bit of a stereotype and does niether women nor men any favours that sex is something that women somehow possess and men constantly want from them. Many women have libidos every bit as active as a man's and many men aren't a scrap interested, and although I can see your point regarding poor contraception to some degree, this doesn't really affect ladies who are about to start drawing their pension now who woud all have been teenagers in the 60's or later.

Unfortunately we are so weak and stupid we let anyone in, even if they have no skills, cant speak English, have the promise of a job, or even if they have been a murderer or rapist in their own country (or even if they have Aids).
We seem then happy to let them live off benefits for as long as they like without contributing ANYTHING to the economy.
This is why our country is going down the pan, when other countries, like say Australia, insist that you bring some sort of skill to the country before they let you in.
Even a retired person has to pay about £20,000 to the Australian government before let you in to live there.
I wonder how much this 104 year old man paid the UK goverment before he came to live here 6 years ago (nothing I would suggest)

I left school and started work at 15, therefore I paid National Insurance and Income Tax for nearly 50 years before I drew my State Pension towards the end of last year. My father started receiving his State Pension at 65, but was still working in our family business when he died aged 67, therefore only receiving 2 1/2 years worth for all his years of contributions. His brother was killed by a hit and run driver 5 months before he was 65 and therefore received no State Pension, but none of us have said that we were being robbed.
The clue is in the name - 'National Insurance'. As with any policy, there are some who win and others who lose.
The gripe that those of retiring in the next few years might reasonably have is that neither of the two recent powers in Government took action earlier to correct the impact of 'longer life expectancy' on the ability of the pot to pay out - those that have retired in the last 10 years have been taking more out of the pot (than is merited) - at our expense.

Nothing rude about my comment Rosamund, although I could be rude if you'd really like me to? Let's try shall we?
Things are no worse for you than for me or anyone else for that matter, so do get a grip and stop being such a xenophobic whiner who thinks that any foreign country would feel honoured to host them in their dotage.
Was that rude enough for you or would you like me to try a little harder?
