What is the Queen's annual income from the state?

My mum's friend loves the Royals and knows every piece of trivia.  Apparantly out of everybodies income per year, we pay the Royal Family 60p!  (I guess if you put it all together then it adds up).  I am glad we don't pay them more.

Don't know if it answer's your q, but a bit of trivia none the less!

NB - I meant that in, each UK resident pays them 60 p each...not the whole of UK together!!  (that's how it reads sorry).

the Civil list was  �8 Million on 2002

But, and it's a big but, there are an awful lot of "expenses" that we all pick up for her majesty that don't come out of the civil list.

If you look at these figures you'll notice a lot of transport costs significant by their absence - When the Royal Yacht Britania was still in service this cost �8 million a year to run in itself!  The Royal train costs over �50 per mile and Balmorals' a long way away!  The Travel grant is �5 or 6 million .

The total official estimate is �37million a year (the 60p per person)

But then there's the small matter of �30 million a year that the security operation surrounding them costs,and the fact that the tax they pay (when they pay it is let's say advantageous)

All in all nice work if you can get it!
