Does anybody know how to obtain a credit check breakdown thingy on yourself without it being over the internet? will it highlight if you're a victim of identity fraud somehow?

You can send for credit reports from Equifax and Experian" target="_blank">http://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/index.html?order">Exp erian (not sure of any other credit reference agencies).

I do not know how extensive the paper reports are but the online versions will show recent credit checks and if they are by companies unknown to you this could indicate that somebody has hijacked your identity and is using it for financial gain.
