Problems getting divorce finalised
Hi
My husband filed for divorce in March, my solicitor has not repsonded to the petition as we were disputing costs and were due to go to mediation.
We have been to mediation and agreed on everything that needs to be. I have a copy of the Memorandum of Understanding and a Financial statement for the both of us ready to take to the solicitors. To go with these two things are copies of last 3 months bank statements, his pension details and copies of all debts.
Basically I have done mine and he has not. We went to mediation at the end of June and despite me asking him to do his he is simply ignoring my requests.
TO make matters worse we are still living together and think this is the reason he is not doing his. He knows he will have to leave. The property is go into my name and he will have to move out.
If he continues to not comply with polite requests to get things moving is there anything else i can do. He is a bit of a control freak and I am struggling to continue living like this.
Anyone that has any experience of this or has any ideas of what i can do to get things moving would be appreciated.
Thanks

It is good you have both agreed on a financial settlement and now have a Memorandum of understanding this should be translated into a court order to make any settlement watertight, verbal agreements have a habit of unravelling.
Regarding the possible delay your solicitor, who is possession of all the facts, should be able to advise you on the best course of action..
