Sorry to bother You, hope someone can help. My friend has an ipad that has a smashed screen. He hopes to get a replacement ipad but doesn't want to lose what he has on his old ipad, mostly apps. Is there any way that I can download all the contents of his old ipad onto my computer so that I can then download them from my computer to his new ipad ?

Thanking You for your time

The content of his Ipad should be backed up onto itunes, when he gets his new one he can download it from itunes onto his pad
If it's just apps, he can go to the App Store, go to purchased and install.
Back it up using Itunes and then restore the backup to the new ipad.

Any music or apps he's purchased he can download again for free.
you can re-download the paid apps for free

Chuckfickens Thanks for your answer. Can I ask how to backup an ipad using iTunes & would it store everything, apps included ? Also is there any danger that my computer might try to sync or overwrite the content of my friend's ipad with what I have on my version of iTunes ?
