breach of contract

My employer says that i am in breach of contract for leaving the company 11 months after doing some training. He has produced a letter that states i must stay 18 months after training or pay back costs. i have never agreed to this and have not signed the letter produced. am i in breach of contract?

well. whether u have to or not, without your signiture on it or any other contract stating this i think they are trying it on and i think u have good grounds to leave and tell them to stuff it. If they take u to court request them to show u the contract that u signed showing u knew about this and agreed to it when employed!
