Can anyone explain to me in simple terms, the best option for the Vodaphone return of capital. I would like to cash in both lots of shares and take the money to reinvest elsewhere. The 4 options you are given are very confusing and I am not sure which option to choose. Everything I have read only adds to the confusion.

Do we have an option yet??
I spoke to my bank quite recently about a letter I received quite recently and as far as I'm aware, nothing has been decided as to how the money is being allocated, 'cos I asked if I could have it all reinvested as Vodafone shares and I was told things have changed since I received my last letter from the bank.
Off the top of my head, all that has been decided is that the pay out is the equivalent of £1.12 per share .... happy days

I have just received a letter from the Halifax who I trade through and have the following options: 1) Capital Payment and retain verizon shares, 2) income payment and retain verizon shares, 3) capital payment and sell verizon shares, 4) income payment and sell verizon shares. I am confused as to which option disposes of the lot and takes all the money. I guess 3, but may be wrong.
