It has been agreed that my wife will have all the equity in our matrimonial home. There are no children involved. However the outstanding mortgage is in joint names and she will only pay a small part of it. As I am jointly responsible I feel I have no option but to continue to pay the rest. Is there anything I can do?

Well it all depends on what you agree between you.  You need to have something drawn up which puts all these things in writing otherwise it can all go horribly wrong later on.    To protect yourself and her from future problems it is worth getting some legal advice as in years to come circumstances can change - she might have children with someone else and he might move in etc. etc.
