A friend is possibly going down the route of Equity Release.
I have put her onto Which Magazine, and printed out a few articles that give some information but I really feel she needs independent professional advice.
Does anyone have any idea what this would cost?

I went through an IFA specialising in equity release and his advice cost me nothing. We eventually took his advice and went for a product and his fee was added to the overall amount borrowed. I am more than happy with the outcome. Your friend might want to check with the equity release council for a suitable IFA/Broker in her area...

Thank you.
That is very helpful.
You may have borrowed it, but it will still have cost you (or your estate if you wish) their fee. Still good advice isn't going to come free anyway.
