you have had lectures on this which we havent
and it doesnt sound as tho you understood much

somewhere in your book you will have the Four Functions of words
one is gonna be communication
I cant think of the other three

then you give examples of each

There is no point in us saying " oh that is the grapheme/morpheme divide" or
Oh that is Saussure - la parole and la langue
because the question is on what you have been taught and we dont know what you have been taught
