Bankrupcy

I took voluntary bankrupcy in Sept 2001, due to a bad business (always someone elses fault, but in my case I'll admit my own)! I have since 4 1/2 years maintained all my buills my rent and have a couple of Store cards and VISA that are all paid on time etc etc.

I require a loan and am finding it difficult as they all want money up front to find one, but when they can't they keep my money.

I need some advise as to what to do please.
