Changing £5 To Coins - Bank?

Would any bank be willing to change a £5 note into coins?

Will they do it but only in amounts of £1?

I need:
1ps (x50/50p), 2ps (x150/£3), and 5ps(30/£1.50).

This is to create a tin of cash for a game to play with family.

Bhg, you'd probably have to find the governor of the Bank of England to demand your £5. Good luck with that :)

We have arcades in our local area, not by the sea!
Maybe also try a post office, they do a lot of banking now so you wouldn't necessarily need an account with them

I went into a Santander branch recently - I am an account holder with them.

I asked to swap a £10 note for 50p coins. The cashier was happy to supply the coins, but could not do it for cash. It had to be a withdrawal from my account, so you might be out of luck

Last time I tried this (admittedly some years ago) they asked if I had an account with them and I replied (lying), "yes" and without asking for proof they obliged.
