Hello,

Is an old 50p still accepted by retailers?

If not, will the banks still accept it?

I ask the same question with regard to a damaged £5 polymer note of which I have half?

Thanks for reading and/or replying.

Best wishes,

SilentJOB.

The following link will give you a link to send the note of for reimbursement, some info. It must be at least half the note. Coins are the responsibility of the Royal Mint not the Bank, it is up to each individual Bank if the will accept them but you will have to use your own Bank....

Sorry having problems with keys sticking on my keyboard, but think my post is understandable despite the missing letters.
What do you mean by 'an old 50p'? Surely all 50ps are still in circulation?
The old larger 50p was withdrawn in February 1998
