My above cc will be cleared within a couple months, that was a first time I ever had a credit card.

With all this palaver with getting into your bank, if I need to, can I set up another credit card online. Thanks

Why get another credit card. Surely you can pay it over the phone. We have not been in a bank for years.

Why do you need to apply for a new credit card?
New credit cards give all sorts of perks and incentives making swapping very attractive especially if you are planning an expensive purchase and want a long period of 0% interest.
It's handy to have a second card for when the first one refuses to play ball at the checkout.
You get get extra insurance with credit cards. We only use ours for big purchases.

to be honest I don't really know how they work. From your posts when the "money" in the credit card is paid off which should be soon, I just have to ask for more money.

I have realised that I don't need a NEW credit card - just new credit/loan. Is that right.
You have a credit limit. Say for instance mine is 5k....we can't spends over that. If we get the balance down to 1k...we still have 4k on the card we can use.
Looking at new credit cards might be a good idea though. Get 0% interest for a year or so.

oh right - forgot about the 0% for the first year, my neighbour who is a whizz kid re credit cards will help and tell me what to do. Thanks anyway.
You don't need to apply for anything unless you wish to change providers. Your card had a credit limit, and provided you stay within that limit you can use the credit available until the expiry date.
