I have had a non contributary pension for 16 years with the company I work for. My wife has left me after only 18 months of marriage. we had lived together for 10 years. Will she be entitled to part of the pension paid for 16 years or just for the time we were married. I am 34 years old and my wife does not have her own pension.

If you do not agree on the split of your assets then the Court will decide. Whether they will look at the time you lived together as part of the 'marriage' I am not sure. It all depends on what she contributed during your time together and what you are doing about the house and equity and any other marital assets. So sorry it did not work out for you, and hope you can sort out things amicably without getting into expensive lawyers fees.
