Hi I'm a new landlord and I'm looking for some thoughts on a sample letter on returning a rent payment from a lease that came to a end and I've already taken the necessary steps ( 60 day "Notice to Quit") to vacate the property..

Thank You

May not be a problem...maybe they know but forgotten or was too late to stop there direct debit or standing order?? Just return with note saying 'overpayment' and perhaps a copy of the old Noticr to Quit letter
has the tenancy fome to an end ( determined)
and are they still 'in' ( possession)

the problem is that if you take the rent - does that mean you have affirmed the continuation of a run-on lease?

and this is so impt.... I dont know the answer.

If they pay the rent I dont think I have turfed anyone out
