So it seems, Abbey , that you haven't been underpaid after all. Unfortunately there may be no big tax rebate to help boost your finances, so your focus now has to be on finding a full time job or a second part time job, and cutting back on spending including takeaways, nails, bottomless brunches and driving lessons for the forseeable future

Abbey, there is no point in looking back all the time, especially not through rose-tinted glasses! The care home people weren't as happy with you as you were with the place - and it really doesn't matter if you think that was because of one supervisor who took against you. You went straight into another cleaning job... and that one didn't work out well either.

If it is not till the 17th why have you not told your friend to cancel it?  That would save you being upset.

That's another day's work over, Abbey.  You must be tired as your first post was at 06.38  ...  what are you going to do for the rest of today?  Do you have any indoor hobbies?

Neveracrossword I know I'm not fighting for my job back there.

Lankeela more to it than that

Question Author

Hazinly I don't feel like it

Thanks, Abbey. I think you sometimes hold on to slights, upsets for longer than is necessary - maybe it's a means to avoid facing the current problems...

Question Author

Neveracrossword it will when I got a new job this was possibly worse time to be looking

Abbey, you'll need a fair bit of luck with your hunt for a full-time job - that showed no sign of happening in 2023! Maybe you'll be more flexible now that some jobs haven't worked out, now that you know (100%) that part-time work really isn't an option.

Question Author

Well yes I will be now and hopefully have atleast 35 hours per week which I will try to get. Hopefully going on a course on 19th to get a forklift licence.

What next?  Do you really think that's for you, Abbey, with your poor co-ordination?

Question Author

I don't know

Abbey, you have told us yourself that concentration is often a problem for you.I think that's partly responsible for you not picking things up quickly enough/well enough in the cleaning jobs. Still, if you think you'll manage a fork-lift course...

PS Are they automatics?!

Question Author

I got tablets to help concentrate and I don't know

But they are not proper tablets are the Abbey - did you ever go to the dr for a proper medical discussion?

oh jeepers

Question Author

From a pharmacy

Would you not have to declare your medical history before getting a forklift licence?

Yes they may be from a pharmacy but they are not prescription tablets

Forklift licence - don't think that's going to happen - sorry.

1 They're not automatic

2 It takes at least a week of full-on learning

3 You have to understand the workings and maintenance of the forklift

4 You have to have extremely good spacial awareness to move in tight spaces, often at heights, with a full load being carried.
