I'm needing to borrow about �7,500 to cover costs for our wedding/honeymoon etc at the end of May 2006. I have an endowment which matures in September which will realize about �4,500 so I'll be able to pay off well over half of the loan then. I just need to borrow the money over a short term and not worry about early repayment charges. Any ideas as to which Loan company to use?

Go to your own bank and speak to a manager / customer relations person.

Explain it to them - they may be able to offer you a �4000 overdraft and a loan ofr �3500 - they will probably hold the endowment as security.
