opening a new bank a/c

My daughter is 12 years old and she has a couple of cheques and would like to open a bank a/c to pay the cheques into. Unfortunately I have been trying to get a divorce for almost five years and the birth certificates are still at the court and they wont release them until such time as the divorce is finalised. What other forms of id are acceptable.

You can get an official copy of the birth certificate from the registry office.

As above. Also, ask the bank what they'll accept other than or in addition to this.
