recently paid a credit card bill -the due date was 31 jan 2006,they received the money 1st feb 2006 and charged me �25 .
where do i stand in getting this back as the manager i spoke to said it doesnt matter how many days they still charge...

In this case I would definitely phone up, politely, and firmly, and explain clearly that the payment was only 1 day late, it was a genuine, honest mistake, you are a good customer, and you think a charge is excessive and unfair. As previously suggested, making mention of the wide range of other companies which would be delighted to accept your business might be helpful. It never hurts to point out your disappointment with the company, and that you chose them because you expected to be treated like the good customer that you are. All this is, of course, assuming that you ARE a good customer ...
