A bank holiday (as far as I'm aware) is treated as Sunday Trading, so therefore 6 hours.

we are open 9.30 to 6pm, (Debenhams)

The company I work for trade sunday trading law on Bank holidays - but i believe it is a gesture of good will for staff.
