Walk along the high street on a saturday afternoon, round markets and car boots with your eyes peeled to the ground. it's incredible how much you can pick up.

Sell your old toys and books at a car boot sale.

Run errands for your neighbours and family ie post letters, buy the newspaper or something else at corner shop,

There must be loads of ways a 13 year old can earn money. In my time, I went potato picking - that's really back breaking... Just remember, don't be greedy every little helps.

Given the current climate, I would suggest you become really good at football. That way when all our strikers get broken bones you can help England retain the World Cup in 2010 and get signed up by Chelski for �100,000 a week...

ou and ur mates should wash cars, thats what i used to do! or do odd jobs for old people i.e tidy their gardens etc

Hi Ebay is a good place to start. As well as selling your own stuff, try selling other peoples as well. Is what I did awhile back to just do anything possible to earn money whilst paying course fees. Collect stuff that people you know dont want and just list the lot on ebay, you'll be surprised at who buys what...

OK. Young man.

First thing. Im old and as a 13yr old you are probaly smarter than me.

My son is 13 and on average earns about �35pw.

He earns most of his money mowing lawns, thats ok when the weather is good. He could certainly earn a lot more if he had the time. All his work is local, he put an advert in the local Post office.

The other thing that he does is wash cars, he printed some leaflets off the computor and letter dropped them, then he called back a day later. he didnt get much responce at first, but it has built up. Now he even has customers who call him.

He has now ordered some business cards off www.vistaprint.com very cheap and look really good. Garden Maintenace Service would be a reasonable suggestion.. (tip if you order dont take express delivery they arrive very quickly anyway).
