Broadband
5 Answers
How can I persuade some one that broadband is better than dial up internet connection?!! It gets used in our house quite frequently so the phone bill is always, ahem, resonable hehe, but I know broadband would be cheaper & there wouldn't be peak time etc, don't hold up the phone line! The person i'm trying to convince is set in their ways & very reluctant to admit that a change would benefit! help!

So if you work on a basis of 14.99 pm for broadband and what you spend on your present, assumed 'pay as you go' system you may find that there is no significant difference. As you know broadband has a 5 to 10 times faster speed of operation and the fact that one can use the internet and chat on the phone at the same time is a major bonus. There is nothing more infuriating than not being able to get through to somebody, especially when it is important, because they are trawling the net. Imagine trying to operate even the smallest business non-broadband. Also, for the surfer, can there be anything more annoying than having to shut down on-line because someone else in the house wants to make a telephone call.
I've just had my phone bill and it's come down from approx. 187.00 to 57.00 (3 months). Yippee!! The 15.00 odd quid a month is far more manageable than the large bill every 3 months. Hope this helps. By the way, I way the one who did not want broadband, now I can't get enough of the internet and I can use the phone.
