Family tax credit
2 Answers
I was under the impression that you can only claim family tax credit if your combined salary was under 34,000 but to my suprise i found out today that the figure is about 58,000. I rang up for a claim form and was informed I have missed out on roughly 4 years of credit and I can only claim for 3 months backdated credit, has anyone claimed any backdated credit? Thanks in advance.

Don't blame HMRC on this one. swindontony was "under the impression" the limit was 34,000 but a check on the internet would have given the correct amount and he should consider himsel fortunate to get three months' backdating....
