I need to make a cash advance on my credit card, I was wandering if I can make a payment to my paypal account with my credit card to avoid the interest that will be charged by my bank. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

thanks, yes that makes sense to me now. I was just being a bit lazy too, and trying to avoid a trip into town. Thanks again.
Dont forget paypal will charge 4% and most credit cards normaly charge around 2% for cash advances. Better drawing it out the hole in the wall.
You can't directly make payment to yourself, it can only be transferred to someone else and then transferred back, incurring TWO lots of paypal fees. Alternatively you could put it in a friends paypal account and ask them for the cash (ONE lot of fees).
Paypal is also handy if you have trouble paying a large credit card bill. If you have credit left, you can make payment to someone through paypal, get them to refund it to you and it will be refended to your credit card, registering as a payment (ie your minimum payment is satisfied even though you haven't paid off any balance).

Hope this helps!
I believe there is no reason why you couldn't do it by setting up another Paypal account.
