working tax credit
13 Answers
Hi all! Does anyone know about working tax credit? I had a look on the inland revenue website, and also called the helpline to request an application form. Apparently, from the details I gave on the website, I should qualify. However, neither the website nor the helpline person told me how much I would be likely to receive. I am single, no children, over 25, and my salary last year was below 15K before taxes (they told me they base the calculation on last year's earnings). Does anyone know how much I could get, approximately? Also, how do you actually receive the money? Is it added to your wages, deducted from the taxes you pay? Many thanks in advance.

i work for the job centre you will not qualify as your enarings are too high, if you had children then it would be different, any how they are not very good as i now owe them 5000.00 for overpayments that they made and i am now fighting them with my MP, so if you can manage my advice would be to not claim. you may have an underline entiltement but i really doubt your get any extra money
