what costs are there when living alone (not including food, rent) so basically bills? also what is the typical cost of living alone, or as a couple in a small flat? just trying to work out when i can leave home!

I live on my own in a terraced house and pay the following:

Council Tax �60pm (includes discount for living alone)
Phone �12 pm
Gas �30 pm
Electric �20 pm
Water �9 pm
House Insurance �30 pm (but this includes buildings cover which you won't need if you are renting)

I'm sure there must be a couple more but I can't think of them right now :-)

thankyou very much! just trying to get a rough idea, probably going to be on about 10k-15k a year and goin to uni part time so not sure whether will be able to afford living on own or will have to wait for when boyfriend decides he wants to live with me!
hi. i just wanted to say that it is very hard when you move out on your own but it has to be done one day and it does get easier. good luck!
