Can anyone recommend any free book-keeping software I can download. I can only seem to get them in dollars not sterling.

Would an excel style programe be ok? I'm an accountant and that is what I use for most bookeeping jobs. You don't really need anything too fancy for general bookeeping.

Try www.openoffice.org

It has free software based on the same type as windows word and excel.

Many software would be too much for what you need and you would be paying more for that side, reports, p & l, etc.

You don't need software of any kind - a piece pf paper and a pencil will suffice - never a pen
