Hi, In the story linked to below it talks about central banks "injecting cash" into their banking systems. What does this mean? I don't know a lot about this subject so please keep it relatively simple. Thanks.

I suppose it's a bit like you lending money to a few pals who haven't been able to repay you. You start to panic until a weathier pal steps in and lends you the money you to tide you over in the meantime.
