Does anyone know the best way to emigrate to Australia? I know that there are a number of websites where you can apply online to do this, and do any of you ABers know anyone who has done this?
I have read the book "Working Abroad" by Emma Gration, but that was no help on OZ though.

Unless you've got close family members in Australia, you'll need to show that you have relevant professional skills. (Typically, you'll need to show that you have degree-level qualifications in a relevant area). See here for further information:

Thanks for your help, Chris, should really have mentioned that my father is fully Australian, as was born in Melbourne. Have been told many times that this fact alone should get me in, or rather help.
Failing that I should also state that I am a bus driver and also have a HGV licence. Clearly this is not a degree, but understand that they are short of this profession, so would this help.
Some people I know are Lifeguards for the summer here in UK, and then go over to Oz for their summer, so they get the best of both worlds, and do not have to emigrate. This, of course, is easier than emigration.
By the way Australia will not allow HIV positive peope to emigrate there either.

you could apply for citizenship, jonnyBoy, which might get round educational requirements. You can be a dual citizen
