supplier gone out of business?

i have been unable to contact one of my suppliers for approx 4 weeks now. phone and fax lines unobtainable since before xmas. bt say they arent bt lines so are unable to give me any info. there is nothing untoward on the free search at companies house. is there any other way of checking?

have you tried going to their office?
or, if its too far, write and send a letter which needs to be signed for.
