I am looking for a sponser to help buy 25 costumes for our dance troupe to take part in the world morris dancing championships in November to be held in Blackpool Tower, this is girls morris dancers,we have been established for 25 years.we are looking for �1500 ,we are trying to raise as much a possible to be afford the dresses. If ayone knows where i can start, then please let me know.

Then put a listing on ebay (ie Sponsorship for Morris Dancers etc etc). Let people know how much they are getting in value (ie how many people will be there, what type of people etc etc).
Then the most important bit: get yourself on the local tv station and / or newspaper. This makes it a lot more attractive for a sponsoring company as they will suddenly get tv time / newspaper article for �1500.
Alternatively, get a listing of the top 500 companies in your area (from your local chamber of commerce) and write letters to them all.
If you have a local co-operative, they will often give community grants and also write to your local Rotary Clubs.
