If I have a full building survey done, is it possible to use that as a mortgage valuation report as well or would I still need to have both done?

it would depend if the valuer was on the building societies approved panel of valuers or not.

If they were, they would just need to get a 'retype' done onto their branded paperwork costing around 80, assuming they were prepared to do this - they are not obliged to.

At worst, you can ask that the valuer uses your report as a 'comparable', thus assuring you that it will be a fair re-valuation.

Hope that helps

Good luck
