May I ask for details of a former emplpoyee? I have no connection with the company involved except receivng mail from them, but I wondered if I had the legal right to ask for contact details,say, from someone who worked at the company and left in February.
It is generally dealt with (in my experience) by the first of Ethel's suggestions. Busy HR departments don't really want to get involved in forwarding letters, and the ex-employee can easily get the wrong end of the stick and believe their details HAVE been passed on, if they receive correspondence..
