i did send an email on friday, so i'll probably get one back on Monday. Are you sure Electrochem? If it is, its probably set my mind to ease
It has happened to me before, which is why I have mentioned it.
When paypal test uyor account they do it by payin something in- maybe 30 pence- rather than take mon ou.
But if you have done any transactions in the last month or so through ebay or paypal maybe they are charging their fee.
But our advice/spreculation may not help- the only way to know for sure is to ask your bank or look at your statement
I repeat what I said.

Call Hailifax and speak to them.

I had the same thiong happen to me earlier this year.

i will go in branch sometime next week
If it states that this is the amount avaialbe for you to withdraw it does not automatically mean that theis is also the balance of money in the account.

Some accounts will not allow you to take ALL the money out of them. Read the paperwork that you got when you opened the account.
I see you say the 170 was in cash. The money is often checked again after you have left the bank, if they then made the amount only 164, they may have only credited you with that amount. Go to the bank and find out, and demand the 6 back if this is what happened.
It would be good to know what the bank said!
