Wedding Ring?

Hello im getting married in the summer and have my eye on a beautiful ring. Its actually called an eternity ring but looks very similar to alot of the wedding rings, would this be suitable, im not really sure of the purpose for eternity rings?!

Also me and my hubby to be are struggling with an idea for a best man gift. I have found lovely personal gifts for my bridesmaid and flowergirls but dont want to get the usual cufflinks/tankard. Any ideas would be great, luckily its abroad so we dont have ushers etc to think about!

Eternity rings are usually given to the woman on the birth of the first child. If you really love that particular ring go ahead, it's your choice.

I think that traditionally an eternity ring was given to a wife long after marriage, say on the arrival of children.

but who says you have to have a plain band for a wedding ring if you dont want to.

It is a band but has diamonds through it, think i will go for it!

i had an eternity ring as a wedding ring it looked so much nicer than the actual wedding rings

I've got an eternity ring as my engagement ring and people are always commenting on how unusual and beautiful it is. I'm not really sure of the purpose of eternity bands either - i just liked the style and i think that if you like it, you should go for it! be brave and don't go for something traditional if its not your style!

For tradition it should be a gold band - get a cheapy & spend rest on diamonds as a 'dress ring'.

Well im not at all traditional which is why i am getting married in Turkey! I ordered the ring on Sat and its gorgeous!! An ideas on best man present please pass on.
