how do I remove my name from a joint mortgage?

I have a �290,00 house joint mortgage with C&G me and my mum, recently i had the solicitor draw up an agreement that I only had 1% share in the property, I now need to completely remove my self from the the property and and land registry how do I do this?

You will not be able to easily - although you may only have a 1% share in the property, C&G have you as a joint borrower - they will not let you go unless someone else will go joint (this is on the assumption that your monther cannot service the mortgage herself).

 

Your mum would have to apply for a new mortgage with C&G or someone else in her own / someone elses name.
