We bought a leather suite two and half years ago from Land of Leather in Leeds and on the chair the button for the recliner has snapped. We have just been over to Leeds and the shop has gone. I have looked on internet and they went into administration in 2009. Is there any where else I could ask if they would repair this chair.

I wouldn't have thought so, Zac, this sounds like an electrical issue. Upholsterers aren't renown for their electronics prowess.
You need to find one of those useful businesses often found on the edge of town - a general repairer of small electrical appliances / devices and see whether they are willing to give it a go.

Ah, I suppose you could be right!
I was perhaps reading too much into the word 'button' (=small, modest little device) rather than lever (=bloody great monster, capable of shifting a 15 stone person aboard). We'll never know unless the inquirer comes back.

Sorry folks, yes it is a lever to pull back. A senior moment.

I will try upholsterers first. Thanks everyone.
