I saw a programme the other night - about detectives who were tracing people and their old savings accounts of investments that they had forgotten about...
How do you go about finding something like this???

My husband had a pension he was paying into and then stopped - YEARS ago before we met. He wont remember the name of the company I know!!!

How would he go about tracking it???

I'm not expecting it to be easy.. but where do we start??

he's not that old!!! (not yet anyway)
Try this, although it would really help if he could remember the name of his employer.

it was a private pension.. not his employer.. he is self employed...

Thanks!!!!
As it was a private pension he took out with is he sure he never kept any papers? Has he never had any statements showing the fund value? if he left within a short period his plan may have had no value after set up costs.

well it turns out he reckons he has 3 dormant bank accounts and 3 dormant pension schemes.. from when he was a lad! Just as well he met me to sort out all his finances etc now eh!!! What a silly bugger!

Will see if i can somehow track them all down.

Thanks for the advice!
