Bank card problem
8 Answers
I've just looked at my bank card an noticed that the chip has almost been cut out of the card and had to be physically popped back in so I'm not sure whether it's worth putting it in the machine as it could possibly get stuck or the chip might fall out and block the machine, whats the procedure do I phone the bank and tell them or will I have to go to my local branch which is not so local any more because I have moved?

Most banks have totally computerised systems these days to which every branch is linked, so you don't have to deal with the branch where you originally opened your account. My account was opened miles away from where I now live and I haven't visited it for 30 years. I do all my business with the branch nearest to home.
