I thought VAT was charged on any commercially sold product.
I don't believe there is and 'special' charge added to home brewing stuff (eg. the 'wort', hops, malt extract etc).
I think it would be too difficult to implement charges like this and if they did, those savvy enough could easily find ways around it.
Yes, at the standard 20%.
The dried elderflowers, rose petals, hops, yeast, malt etc should be VAT exempt, but I bet they're not.
