Is it wise to use part of your property for a pension.

Be told you can say use half for pension on a insurance policy and still leave other half to family, this would give you a good pension...anyone done it..is good ...any downsides to it...

would like to hear from any one done this.

SEEMS a good way...BUT... like for you to tell me if it worked for you.....Thanks.

It is not possible to include residential property in a pension, only commercial. But the rules are changing in April 2006 where you will be able to include a residential property in a sipp pension. It is not 100% clear yet how this will work. I suggest you go to www.fool.co.uk and click on | Discussion boards | Managing your finances | Self invested personal pensions | where you will be able to read lots of questions and answers on the same subject and be able to ask questions to the many experts on the board.
