Good grief that was awful. I knew she would be irritating having watched her cringe worthy interviews pre Dr. Who but....? tonight's episode should have stunned, should have been yeh this is a good move'. No. Dr. Who should not be gender specific -it is an alien FFS, not a northern lass with a 'gob on'. So what will be her USP? A sonic tampon? god help the Daleks should they meet her 'at her time of the month' annihilation . Could be interesting.
We have been avid Dr' Who fans forever. First episode this series 4/10... could do better.
I read the OP and knew it was tongue in cheek and can't understand why some others didn't !! AL is as entitled to her opinion as anyone on here is and I can't understand some of the nastiness, par for the course on here I suppose. I personally do not like a female Dr. Who and couldn't care less what anybody thinks of that. Mind you I've not been a fan of Dr. Who for a while...
Sonic tampon? What were you watching?
I thought it was brilliant very refreshing! I also believe that at least on of the recent incarnation made a comment about his sexuality.
The last dr was awful no charisma at all, so it needed a shake up.
Since david tennant they have all been 'caricatures' of the Dr. I did not think it was 'refreshing' I think it was desperate. Hopefully it will get better.
The characters, the storyline ( electric spaghetti and a robot loaned from transformers set) . The 'northern-ness of it " where's t' Tardis". Finally Sunday night 6.45 ...the God spot... no longer saturday night Prime Time. Speaks volumes.
I don't buy the reasons mamylynne. People could record Dr. Who on a Saturday, or more pertinently, record other popular programmes on at the same time on a Saturday.
its Been moved to Sunday night so they don’t have to keep moving it around because of all the reality shows.
As for a sense of humour of course I have one which is why I didn’t find your ‘joke’ remotely funny
