I Seem To Have Aquired A Child!

Ermmm as above really lol.
So! My daughters boyfriend has been chucked out of his mothers house and is going to be living with me. There is a lot of back story here but I don't feel it's relevant to my question :)
His parents have said they will be paying for for his upkeep but to be honest I don't expect that last. He will not turn 18 until next year so I assume that as I have got him to sign up for a full time college course today I will be entitled to his child benefit?
Also as I am on a low income myself and receive working tax credit do I need to inform the tax people?
Hope you're all well... not been on here for agessssss!!!!!

Lisa....I wish I could answer your question....I don't have that knowledge...but...
When I was fifteen my mother threw me out....my boyfriend's parents took me in and I lived there for three years...no upkeep from my parents....
But I always appreciated being taken in off the street and we remained friends til their deaths....in fact they were smashing "grandparents" to the daughter I had when I married MrG.....
So good on you....and all the best....xxx
