Hubby had his operation today and three hours of Chemotherapy.
I have paced the floor, had a look on answerbank to take my mind off things. Walked the dog.
More Cancer found as usual which is no surprise really. We live with it on a day to day basis.
Hubby is fine after the op, very sore and unwell and has to have six more chemo sessions over the next few weeks.
I want to thank Kleiber especially for thinking of us and asking every day. I am sorry you had to go through all this years ago Kleiber, so you will know what it is like.
Didn't know how to let you know how things were, after the bit of stick that you got last week for caring about someone else.
Just to say, "Thank you to everyone who posted wishing us all th best" Afraid to say, this is the pattern of our lives now but hey, it is a small price to pay! Plus, we always laugh a lot and talk a lot which helps. We don't let the thing get us down.! lol.
Many thanks again everyone.

Aww Cruella, bit of a poor do when you are almost too scared to post a message like this :-(

I can't begin to imagine what life's like for you and hubby at the moment, however it's nice to know that despite all that you've gone through and still going through that you are both still able to laugh with each other.

Keep us up-dated (bu88er the miserable scroats on here), and if you ever need to talk, we're here.

God bless you both, all my love.

Hi Dot,
Thanks for taking the time to answer as I know you are literally in the same position.
You have to fight it or it will drag you own.
Sorry you have your problems at the moment.
I am sure you have the same courage as we have with all the probelms you and your family have had to face recently.
Meet them head on. lol
hello cruella.
Thank you for the update, as I saw a post at the end of last week mentioning what was happening and I did wonder how you were so was looking out to see if you posted anything

B00 said what I was going to say - I can't begin to imagine what you and your husband are going through, it must be so tough at times but it sounds like you have something wonderful together to be able to laugh with one another.

Please keep us updated - hopefully the AB website and the users will help/comfort in some small way.
Hi cruella. I missed your original post but just wanted to pass on my best wishes to you and your husband and wish you both lots of strength to keep fighting this.

We're going through this with my dad at the moment and I'm afraid it's not going so well. Something has happened to his brain , it comes and goes but he is nearly blind a lot of the time now and his memory is affected badly. We went to visit him on sunday and when I went to say hello he just looked at me and said 'I'm very sorry but I've no idea who you are' It gets very hard sometimes. He has an appointment tomorrow so hopefully we'll get some answers then.

Anyway, sorry, i didn't mean to start moaning about my own stuff - just wanted you to know I'll be thinking of you both and hope there are better times ahead for you. Take care. x
Sorry to hear about all of this.

You probably know all about them but I pointed someone in the direction of the McMillian charity on another thread recently.

They do a great job in helping both people with cancer and their relatives, from practical help to a helpline if you need to talk

Many thanks for taking the time to post your best wishes.
I an aware that you are having a terrible time yinyang.
Yes, this disease can destroy people and cause so much heartbreak as can other illnesses.
One thing we decided four years ago was to fight it head on.
Now, we just accept it is in our lives for good and make the best of every day we have together.
Today is another day, a good one!
Onwards and upwards is our motto! lol
Thanks again for everyone's support. x
Cruella, love, you're so brave! What you say is true, though - you have to stay positive, think of the future and have a laugh. My hubby was diagnosed in early 2002 and we went through everything - hell & back! he had a major op and 6mths of chemo, but then was fine for nearly 3 years, till it came back, too. He never let it get to him and he enjoyed life to the full. There's so much more I want to say, but I'd be on here all night!
You be strong and give your dear husband a big hug from all of us who care. K xxxx

Aw, Kleiber.
I am so glad to hear from you.
Due to the problem last wek, I did not want to post this anywhere else. No need to draw attention to myself and cause trouble for anyone.
I know you went through the same thing, and it is not easy, but hey, as long as my Husband and I have the will to move forward, every day is a blessing.
He is doing fine, another few weeks of chemo for which I have kept back most of my annual leave to drive him to the hospital and back but that is not an issue.
So, so good to hear from you again.
Hoep you are well as the are the dogs and animals.
PS Shadow doing great now! xxx
Hi cruella :o)

I saw your other post on B&S saying to head over here so I snuck in :o)
Sorry to hear about the tough time you and your husband are having. I'm glad your both not letting it get you down and that your still very much laughing and talking together. You obviously have a very strong bond and love each other very much and I wish you both the best xxx
Thanks, cruella - yes, the animals are fine, including my little hedgehog, who comes for his/her cat food every evning now. Glad to hear that Shadow's on the mend, too.
K xx
Cruella - I hope that a few days on things are improving for you both. Keep on staying strong. x
