Residency and parental rights

I have the residency of my 4yr old grandaughter, she hasn't seen her parents for over 18months.  Can her mum (who has parental rights) take her from school without my permission?

I would have thought NO you have residency rights so that means the court has given you parental rights as opposed to adoption etc so I think you should report this.

no, not without permission and i would strongly advise that if you have any inclination that this is a possibility then inform the court who issued this order or your solicitor. you should inform your grandaughters school and other establishments she attends, in person and via writing, of this situation as further precaution...however, perhaps as further assurance to yourself, you should find out what rights both yourself and your daughter have in relation to the little one so you are aware of both of your boundaries...
