But... with nine men we only went down 1-0
and that goal from a dodgy pen with 11 on the pitch...

Man U went down to 10 men and got totally stuffed....I know the opposition was in a different class but I think it says a lot about the players who were left on the pitch and their attitude

Disappointing to lose, but the nine outplayed the eleven in the second half. I remember when all local derbies were played like this one.....It's what I miss most from the game these days.

Agree that the 9 outplayed the 11 in the 2nd half but the OP was about their poor discipline, it could easily have been 3 red cards because David Luiz could have got a secong yellow car and been sent off, (probably wasn't because referee bottled it having already sent 2 off), Luiz was flying into challenges like a headless chicken
