Even after reading the guidence notes I can't do it :(
I get paid less than 1,700 a year from my job made 6055 from a rental property but now I'm stuck on investment interest. Some of it is in an isa and some not and looking at the investor portfolio from L&G I can't make head nor tail of it.
Do I include the isa part or just the taxable part of it?
ISA Interest is tax free and does not have to be declared on your tax return, whereas other investment interest and dividends have to be declared, although you have to show any tax paid which will be allowed, at the appropriate rates, against any tax payable in the final calculations.
The forms used to drive me mad until they realised my circumstances didn't change much and it was more than it was worth to have to check mine over every year. Worst comes to worst you could hire an accountant to do it once, then note what they did for future years. Not sure what they cost though.
