Americans. Destroying history with one doofus at a time:

I realise that this is some 3 days old, it's just that now the Scout Leader has complained of death threats from as far away as Germany(Sky News sources).
What sort of idiot would encourage a child to do that anyway?
What would he have done if the rock had fallen in the opposite direction?

what a wonderful example to his Scout troop - the desecration and destruction of a phenomenon of nature. Idiot.
What a nobhead. But then he is a Septic.
non event..making a mountain out of a molehill........or should that be rock !!?
absolute idiot
// What would he have done if the rock had fallen in the opposite direction? //

He would have been nominated for a Darwin award.

Alarm!

Rumour has it their summer vacation next year includes a visit to Stonehenge
How hilarious to film in too - that's a selfie if ever I saw one!
the guy reckons it was a danger to others as it was unstable and thats why he moved it...sound like he was caught between a rock and a hard stone !

sorry i just cant take this seriously its such a non event, its just a bloody big stone, one stone not a whole cliff face of the stuff, a natural formation, its hardly an ancient monument carved or quarried whatever by human hands and dragged shedloads of miles.

nature sooner or later will topple it and erode it to dust anyway !
..but we have our own balancing stones, they are natural phenomena and visited and wondered at by many. It's just plain stupid to destroy it.

nature sooner or later will topple it and erode it to dust anyway !
---------------------
It had managed perfectly for 170 million years until this little pr*ck and his horde turned up!
what a thicko, how could it be dangerous? no one MAKES anyone walk near it. Its like the fools who used to go out and shoot saguaro cactusses.
I hope they throw the book at him.
or the rock boxy!
What other pieces of landscape vandalism could they attempt?

Filling in The Grand Canyon?
Taking the dangerous top bit off Everest?
Re-channeling Niagara Falls?
"170 million years" is nothing in geological terms

i would have thought theres more important things to get your blood pressure up over rather than a stone being pushed over, not even a man made artifact at that.
I believe it's a natural formation, not man-made, it's weather erosion?
I think the fact that two kids could push it over proves that it was too unstable for safety. It would have fallen over within a short time anyway. Why not put a safe fibreglass replica in it's place?
I havent seen the vid...but if he pushed it over that easily, sound like hes done them a favour....falls naturally and then some one is hurt/killed the parks authority or whatever would prolly get sued.

why cant they put the damn thing back, get a few scouts on it job done, everyones happy
/not even a man made artifact at that./

bazzer you imply that something made by people would be more valuable than a natural phenomenon

why would that be?
/two kids could push it over/

you've not actually seen it have you jomifl?
