If you liked someone who didn’t like you is going no contact best to do to get over them but I am feeling guilty about it did I do the right thing I feel horrible about it

currently in a family thingey where Miss X had jilted or been jilted by Mr Y and mr Y is texting - I still love you mwah mwah mwah but my parents wont let me marry you etc etc

and it is basically screwing everyones heads

Why should you feel guilty about doing the right thing? If the someone doesn't like you that's it. I'm sure there are other people that do like you.
